Abstract

Three categories of traffic models can be distinguished: growth factor models, aggregated models and disaggregated models. The user of the outcomes demands an understandable model. They want to choose freely among a set of alternatives. The Centre for Traffic Studies believes that, for several reasons, the aggregated type meets the requirements mentioned before, best. A simple model, using scenarios is being developed.
