Abstract

The differences in traffic safety between regions in the southern parts of The Netherlands for the period 1989-1991, are described. On traffic safety 56 standardised risk measurements are computed, based on damage and mobility measurements. With the aim of standard statistical methods available in statistical packages and spreadsheets a ranking is computed for the regional traffic safety. Probably the European Union will invest in those regions with the highest lack of traffic safety.
