Abstract

It is very unwise to consider reduction of fuel consump-tion as a goal of traffic control. Also when other goalsare considered to be more important, traffic control canbe optimized without these goals being violated. Who'sgoing to pay for measures which save the car driver'smoney? The road authority will hot gain anything. The mo-torist does hot seem to be verg fuel-conscious when driv-ing in town.
