Abstract
It is clear that children from 4-12 years of age are a great risk in traffic, but it is not clear how great the risk is, because national data on their mobility and their transport mode do not exist. Therefore an estimation is made. Young pedestrians have one to two times and young cyclists have three to four times a higher risk as the pedestrians and cyclists from 12 to 17 years of age. Significant is the high risk of cyclists from 6-8 years of age.
