Abstract

For a number of main roads in the zuid-kennemerland agglomeration the traffic situation is analysed, while for the city of zandvoort with its beach, auto-circuit and recreational function the parking problem is studied in detail. On the basis of this knowledge recommendations are given to relate the traffic flows on the above mentioned main roads with the parking situation in zandvoort. Within the agglomeration cars and buses should be free of traffic congestion. At the border of the agglomeration there should be places where the traffic that cannot be processed at a particular moment could be temporarily parked. The parking in zandvoort can be regulated by means of a system of parking zones.
