Abstract

The author sums up various ways by which a traffic engineer may achieve a reduction in fuel consumption by urban motor car traffic. Although some measures offer favourable prospects as such, their overall effect is less than what might be expected. The article gives a good indication of the relative impact of the measure and their feasibility.
