Abstract
The province of Noord-Brabant is faced with a relatively low road safety level compared with the rest of the Netherlands. SWOV was commissioned to carry out a study into explanations for the size, nature and development of this situation in Noord-Brabant. This report describes the road safey problems in this province and contains a number of explanations for these problems. Recommendations are made for the approach to the problems dealt with, and attention is paid to what is needed during the implementation of plans.
