Abstract

The lack of traffic safety of the beemster-polder is primarily caused by high traffic densities and additionally is caused by a combination of the living and traffic function of the roads. One of the main structural measures for increasing traffic safety is the construction of new roads. In part i (see irrd abstract no 247037) seven different alternatives of connections of the new roads on the existing road network were studied. Two new alternatives are added in this report and a choice is made on the basis of an amenity and cost analysis.
