Abstract
On the basis of several reports with the purpose of coming to an integral traffic safety plan for the municipality of Leeuwarden, a covernote was set up in which a brief summary of these reports is given. This covernote can serve as a basis for a first version of such a plan, and contains advice on: (1) an administrative structure in which traffic safety problems can be tackled; (2) the outlines of the traffic safety policy; (3) the technical way in which traffic safety problems can be tackled; and (4) concrete measures. In the study, emphasis is placed on the policy sector 'Education' of the municipality of Leeuwarden in relation to traffic safety.
