This publication is a combined reissue of the Communications Nos. 35 and 36 of the former Dutch Study Centre for Traffic Engineering (SVT) (see IRRD No 803376 for Communication No. 36). It is written for the Dutch situation. First, some legal aspects with respect to traffic facilities near works under construction inside the built-up area are discussed. Then a global arrangement of roads and static works is presented. With the aid of a search diagram the necessary or desired facilities for specific circumstances can be deduced. By means of a reference system the facilities and the way in which they can be used, are discussed separately. Next, facilities near dynamic works under construction are discussed. Finally, some practical examples are presented.
