Abstract

For more than two decades now, the creation of pedestrian areas, traffic restricted zones and improved living environment conditions has encouraged a renaissance in the use of concrete pavings and slabs. Concrete elements can be manufactured in any shape and colour. Pedestrians prefer concrete paving to most other materials, since it is easier to walk on; it is also relatively cheap in construction terms.
