Abstract

The quality and quantity of the testing are elementary conditions for carrying out vehicle inspections under par. 29 of the German Traffic Regulations. Rational working methods can not be neglected. The present status of electronics and data processing compels the technical vehicle inspectorate to consider the automation of the testing process. The TUV system meets the requirements for higher quality and objectivity in testing and rational working methods.
