Abstract

Whereas originally mobility was mainly perceived as a necessity, it has gradually broadened its significance to an expression of personal development. Every person strives for a maximization of its possibilities to travel both in terms of space and in terms of time. This paper sketches the expected car use during rush hours in the year 2000 given a scenario for car ownership and employment in that year.
