Abstract

Individual time- space paths have been grouped into a time- space typology, using data of the 1985 nation wide Travel Survey. Twelve groups could be distinguished. They are described according to their space- time, personal and situation related characteristics. For each group distinguished several travel- activity patterns will be shown. It is assumed that within a travel- activity pattern chaining activities are related to the time a person has to his disposal and the nature of activities which are undertaken.
