Abstract
A description is given of a systematic arrangement of concepts like transport, mode, traffic infrastructure, transport organization and transport system. Harbours, stations and airports as links between water, road, rail and air transport systems. Relationships between activities like technology, physical planning, transport management, estimating future transport patterns with planning on one side, and design, construction and traffic control on the other.
