Abstract

In the U.S. the main causes for transportation problems for disabled and aged people in the U.S. seem to be: a low income, non-possession of a car and bad public transport. The problems are different for people in urban rural areas. The article describes different transportation methods in the U.S. for these groups and evaluates them as far as financing, co-operation, planning and exploitation are concerned.
