Abstract

This paper is specifically concerned with the social backgrounds and contexts of the combination of alcohol use and road use. It examines the knowledge required for a basis for a preventive measure and implementing it in practice. It reports on the findings of the first stage of a major state-wide longitudinal study which aims to design and evaluate, using behavioural outcomes, a drink-driving programme for 10th grade school students.
