Abstract

The dynamic behaviour of single-track vehicles under cornering conditions differs from the behaviour they exhibit when driving straight ahead. This different is mainly causes by the coupling between symmetrical and anti-symmetrical degrees of freedom. By means of a mathematical model of a single-track vehicle, capable of corning at large roll angles, the effect of the above mentioned coupling are studied.
