Abstract

This paper examines the bicycle accident trends and characteristics of cyclists involved in accidents for the period 1981- 1985 in Victoria. The numbers of bicycle accidents have shown an increasing trend in recent years, although their proportions of the total accidents have remained at the constant level of about eight per cent.
