Abstract

Major findings of the Pedestrian Accident Study in relation to : (1) the effect of alcohol and pedestrian accidents, and (2) age- related factors: specifically in the 60- plus and 1- 14 year age groups. The study considered pedestrian accidents which resulted in a hospital admission or out- patient treatment only. Fatal accidents were not included.
