Abstract

The 15-minute video is based on the research and findings in The Facts about Fatigued Driving in Ontario – a Guidebook for Police, and explains who drives while fatigued; the risks and myths surrounding fatigued and drowsy driving; and the cues law enforcement use to recognize drowsy or fatigued drivers. It also provides information on the strategies police can use to better manage fatigued or drowsy drivers on the road. In addition to use by law enforcement agencies, the video can be a tool in conjunction with the fatigued and drowsy driving products in this series, as a building block for organizations to develop educational materials for staff on fatigued and drowsing.
