Videotex and audiotex road traffic information services.

Abstract

This paper describes the 3615 Route Videotex Service which provides road traffic information via Minitel. It also presents the Audiotex road traffic information service, which provides traffic information via telephone. The systems architecture of the latter is presented briefly. Future developments planned by Road Traffic Information Centres are then described. This includes a system for processing "Event-based Geographical and Road Data" (TIGRE).
