Abstract

The pedestrian- once a more or less free and self-motivated individual- has become an anonymous particle of regimented traffic through a constant process. It is with premeditation, that he is forced to take senseless detours, is sent underground, separated from his neighbours. More than other people he must inhale polluted air and dust. New values, respective legal principles and norms must be given absolute priority to aid the pedestrian. Pedestrian-zones and inter-connections must have the highest possible share in nature.
