Abstract

This paper describes the further refinement of earlier research into types of driving violations based on the suggestion that some driving behaviour has a strong emotional component. Questionnaires were used in which 12 types of driving violation had to be rated on a scale from `never' to `nearly all the time'. Violations included speeding, overtaking on the inside, racing from traffic lights, sounding horn, giving chase, running traffic lights, close following and drink driving.
