Abstract

Information communication technologies are an essential element of ITS. Toshiba has been studying the application of visible light communication to ITS as one such technology in which research has been progressing recently. Visible light communication makes communication possible using visible light. For example, information can be transmitted by rapidly blinking LEDs. A prototype system of color multiplex visible light communication was created for experimental purposes. As a result, it is confirmed that visible light communication realizes the multiplex communication of information, which is completely different from visible information.
