Abstract

Operations in hazardous work environments require remotely operated equipment. Many such applications require not only a vision link into a dangerous area but a mobile platform with a TV camera that can move around the work space, look at the site from different viewpoints to inform the remote operator about the situation. Another requirement can be transportation of goods or manipulation of tools.
