Abstract

This note deals with fields of vision, their measurement and their possible roles in driving. It is pointed out that standards which are in use in various countries rely heavily upon the experience of tests and procedures use clinically: field functions other than those measured clinically may be interesting from the point of view of driving. The main conclusion is that more information is required before formulating standards for visual fields.
