Abstract

Bus and railway stations are a part of the traffic and transport system and must be considered firstly on their function in traffic and secondly on their function as a waiting place. The traffic function is to provide the possibilities of transport mode changes of pedestrians. This includes pedestrian movements, which can be characterized by speed, quantity and density.
