A main part of traffic accidents is caused by not giving priority. In bicycle and moped accidents (even two out of three accidents) priority plays an important role. Research has shown that the road user behaviour in many cases differ from traffic regulations or traffic signalization. Also is shown that there are no specifications for the indication of a priority on a certain junction. In the Netherlands slow traffic, approaching the junction from the right, has not always priority. The modification of this exclusive position will be necessary, but is very difficult.
