Abstract
This seminar was sponsored by the Swedish Road and Traffic Research Institute (VTI) and the Swedish Transport Research Board (TFB). Some of the papers are presented in detail (see C 5745, IRRD 838983). Some of the papers are presented on these themes: (1) Traffic safety and attitudes; (2) Wear resistant surfacings; (3) Adjustment of the traffic and transport system to the environment; (4) Safer road manners for vehicles; (5) Commissions of inquiry and accident analysis as a preventive measure; (6) Public transport. For these themes see C 5746 to C 5751 (IRRD 838990 to 838992). The rest of the three volumes which report the seminar contains only brief summaries of the original papers.
