Abstract

It is shown in experimental and field test that not more than two traffic signs must be placed on the same spot. It was not studied how far this is also valuable traffic signs placed on short distances. It is likely, however, that this distance plays a role for the perception of traffic signs in a row. The perception of traffic signs with symbols is greater than signs with letters.
