Abstract

WALK WITH CARE is an integrated older pedestrian education, engineering and advocacy program established by VicRoads, in conjunction with local government and local community groups in support of safer communities. WALK WITH CARE aims to reduce the incidence and severity of pedestrian accidents involving people aged 60 years and over. WALK WITH CARE provides a link between older people and those responsible for planning, social welfare and development of traffic engineering facilities in the local area. (A)
