Abstract
This book consists of a set of case studies from England on improving the walking and cycling environment, better facilities for walking and cycling and influencing travel behaviour . Projects described include road user charging, pedestrianisation schemes, traffic calming schemes, reallocation of road space for cycling, inter-urban cycle paths, cycle parking at stations, walking / cycling for health initiatives, reward schemes, school travel schemes, and police use of bicycles.
