By 2008, the FAA is scheduled to complete a three year effort to transition Micro PAVER to the internet. Micro PAVER has been the standard softwareapplication for airport pavement construction and pavement maintenance/management for more than thirty (30) years. Micro PAVER is used by many state aviation departments, major airports, cities, counties, and the different branches of the Department of Defense. The US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory under the auspices of the FAA is developing the web-based version of Micro PAVER. This version will be known as WebPAVER and will: seamlessly interact with other software applications and continue to meet user pavement management expectations and demands. WebPAVER will support simultaneous entry of inspection data into WebPAVER by multiple users. The FAA envisions that an implementation of WebPAVERcontaining data for General Aviation and International Airports will ultimately reside on a server located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is expected that WebPAVER will be distributed for implementation by any other interested agencies or users.
