Abstract
It is well known that traffic accidents, in which vehicles leave the carriageway (under which collisions with fixed obstacles, like trees) can be categorized as severe accidents. Furthermore these accidents happen frequently. The main purpose of this research is to decrease the risk for road users which leave the carriageway. Accidents or road shoulders are described in detail and the results are analyzed.
