Abstract

The conclusion of this study is that in order to stimulate the use of public transport for the journey to work by workers who have a car available we should rather plan working-places around (important) public transport stops than dwellings. When offices are considered the fact that the working-place density can be much higher than the labour density makes this preference even much stronger.
