Abstract

This article describes the improvement of urban transport facilities without the massive cost presently associated with freeway or rapid transit construction by reintroduction the jitney. This is a five-to eight passenger private car (or station wagon), operated along fixed or semi-fixed routes in a manner analogous to a bus.
