Abstract

This paper describes an anti-lock braking system (ABR) and the ABR twin sensor system. The paper also compares the ABR dual sensor system with the ABR four sensor system. The results of the various tests clearly show the advantage of the ABR twin sensor system fitted to small vehicles. Without equalling that of a system with four sensor reference prints, it achieves a very high level of performance, under any tyre/road adhesion conditions.
