Abstract
Research has shown that drinking by youth reflects their culture and religious backgrounds as well as the attitudes and practices of their parents, and that the majority of young persons do drink. Furthermore, except for perhaps 5 or 6 percent of them, they drink in moderation. It should be noted that this occurs quite apart from and in spite of any legal limitations on youthful drinking.
