Abstract

This book presents a comprehensive review of the existing situation as regards traffic accidents for all transport modes. The traffic safety measures concern the improvement of the road traffic environment (traffic control, parking, children's safety, safety of cyclists), promotion of traffic safety, driver training and education, vehicle maintenance, traffic control and legal measures, improvement of emergency services, accident compensation, and research into automobile-related technology.
