Why are children in traffic? : can we prevent child accidents in traffic?

Abstract

This study concerns traffic accidents in 1968 and 1969 involving children aged 1-10 year in which the children have been active participants in traffic. The material consist of complete police investigations including preliminary records which have been analysed. The last chapter deals with the question whether child accidents in traffic can be prevented. Therefore, recommendations are made for expansion of the research concerning children's safety in the traffic environment.
