Information is considered the key to influencing the choice of transport mode used. By providing accessible information for drivers and public transport users there will be an opportunity to compare modes and the advantages of public transport usage may become more apparent and may influence mode choice. This paper is based on extensive literature research and incorporates ARRB Group's knowledge and experience of traveller information issues. The supply of information available for traveller information services will increase as technology improves and more data becomes available, so the whole process of transforming data into content will be dynamic and continually improving.
