Abstract
A summary report of the research into the hindrance of wind for road traffic on the future Oosterschelde storm surge dam, an analysis of the research results and recommendations for countermeasures are presented. Research has been carried out in wind tunnels on a scale model, with or without wind barriers. In addition simulations have been carried out of the movements of vehicles caused by the wind e.g. lane changing. Wind barriers having a height of 2 meters which let through half of the wind seem to be an effective countermeasure.
