Abstract

A good manner to stop the increasing car use may be by making arrangements in the collective labour agreements. A number of concrete possibilities aimed at the substitution by alternative transport modes by limiting commuter traffic are discussed. Because alternative transport modes are often cheaper, the effects of the proposed measures are favourable for the income of the labourers, while the consequences for the cost of wages for the employers are limited.
