Abstract

The aim of this report was to describe the traffic restraint system in residential areas called woonerf. Advantages and negative aspects like economic and legal aspects are discussed. In the final chapter, the impressions from a study tour to the netherlands are shown. The authors are negative to woonerf. They conclude that a complete separation between cars, pedestrians and playing children is the best and only alternative.
