Abstract

With regards to the Netherlands'transport policy (freight transport) questions arise in an increasing measure, as well of a practical as of a more theoretical native. A first group of questions concerns the Dutch transport policy as such. A second group refers to the nature and the range of a governmental responsibility. A third group concerns the starting points, objectives and means of transport policy in the Netherlands. A fourth group shows that in the course of years certain notions and principles either have got no real substance, or have been subject to alterations, or offer only little hold in the practice of transport policy.
