Abstract

April 2-6, 2007 was the National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week, the main purpose is to place emphasis on “safety” in our construction and maintenance zones on the roads and highways throughout our Country. Work zone safety is not only for our motorists traversing through the numerous work zones during their daily travels, it is also for all of the construction, maintenance and utility workers, which must not only perform their various daily job tasks in or near these dangerous travel ways, without being harmed by a vehicular accident. To help do so, workers must establish a safe and properly controlled work zone for the motorists and all others to easily understand and follow. (Author/publisher)
