Abstract

It is clear that long- distance lorry drivers are not governed by the same regulation in the different countries concerned and, in addition, their activities are not exclusively confined to long distance driving. Several studies have shown that the way international rules on driving conditions are applied and enforced varies considerably from one country to the next.
