Some results of a study involving 650 international truck drivers from six EEC countries, are described. The aim of the study was to investigate and describe the actual working hours driving hours and rest periods of international truck drivers who operate on Dutch territory. Also factors had to be investigated that influence actual working, driving and resting hours, e.g. type of transport which the driver is engaged in, age, family size, completion with and knowledge of EEC Regulation 543 /69 and nationality.
