Abstract

This paper considers the management of safety risks at worksites and the risk management expectations under safety law. Under safety law a hierarchy of safety controls is required for our industry to eliminate or reduce safety risks where reasonably practicable and the hierarchy of control adopted in Victoria is explained. The implications of driver behaviour, where speed reduction is a critical safety control measure, are also considered. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no.
